An Invitation to Creative Journalling for Wellbeing:
Sept 2025
During Lockdown many of us learnt that routine and creativity go a long way to helping us survive difficult times and go on to flourish when the storm has passed. But it can be hard to maintain a creative routine of self-care; the busyness of life, the needs of others, and our own self-doubts can become the weeds that subdue the new shoots of enthusiasm and growth. As a therapist and teacher I relish providing a supportive and nourishing environment in which individuals can unlock their potential and grow in self-awareness, creativity and contentment.
I would like to invite you into Creative Journalling for Wellbeing, a course in which you can meet with like-minded creative people to experiment with various forms of journalling, in order to feel more at ease with yourself, and to bring more contentment into your everyday routine.
Creative journalling can take many forms, and it can be hard to know which will suit us best; but once learnt, explored, practised and adapted, it can be a support to us for the rest of our lives.
You will explore 5 different forms of creative journalling within a like-minded group
You will have a week to play with each form of journalling
You will have clear instructions to follow, as well as some self-reflection tasks to take you deeper into your journalling.
You will have time and space to discuss your experience with the group
You will be encouraged to blend the approaches in a way which works for you, building a lasting creative practice that will continue to support you for years to come.
We’ll meet at Helen’s private practice in Pittville, close to the centre of Cheltenham, where you will be made welcome with cake and drinks.
You will have all that you need to continue to grow your practice on your own, perhaps with the additional support of the friends you have made.
The course will run with a maximum of 8 people, so that you all have enough time and attention.
What will you get out of this course?

This course will help you improve and maintain your wellbeing, but in no way replaces work with a therapist. Each member of the group needs to be able to look after themself in the group and understand that everyone needs time to share. Helen will foster a supportive safe environment, but cannot provide therapy in these sessions. In the unlikely event that the group is not full by the starting date, I will refund your payment in full. The payment is non-refundable due to the group nature of the course, though if I have somebody able to take your place, I will refund you in full.
